Retail bookselling giant Barnes & Noble finally throws it hat in the ring with the Nook eReader, a direct competitor to Amazon’s bestselling Kindle. The Nook will have a hard time besting the Kindle, but it does offer some features that the Kindle lacks such as a color LCD touchscreen and compatibility with the ePub format.
