Although this composer, arranger, actor and bandleader active in California seems to have been quite popular in the 1930's and 1940's. I couldn't retrieve any information about him. As is the case so many times, however this bands appears to comprise outstanding musicians. This excellent record, credited Ernie Holst Lexington Hotel Orchestra, was made in 1933. The vocal probably is by Holst himself.
