The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce is asking a Federal judge to overturn Minnesota Campaign Finance Election laws in the wake of a US Supreme Court decision. Attorney David Lillehaug helps us analyze the Chamber's case. Lillihaug notes that part of what the Chamber is asking is in line with the US Supreme Court ruling, but says the Chamber's assertion that corporations should be able to contribute money directly to candidates goes beyond what the Supreme Court ruled is allowable. Lillihaug was one of Senator Al Franken's lawyers for the election contest suit against former Senator Norm Coleman. This is from "Quick On The UpTake" on February 17, 2009. Distributed by Tubemogul.
