Like most other Spanish postings, this is a little more recent than my usual uploads, because of the Civil War, which paralized cultural life for several years during the 30's. Bernard Hilda was a French-born violinist, vocalist, bandleader and impresario who worked decades in Spain (roughly between 1940-1965). He is best known for his sweet swing band recordings, but, especially at the beginning of his career, he also waxed several hot sides, of which this one, with his Sexteto de Hot, definitely offers what the combo denomination suggests. This is a fabulously hot recording, made in 1943. I added some vintage pictures of the Ritz Hotels in Madrid and Barcelona.
