South Australia police ramp up search powers on public transport

Commuters can now be searched for weapons on all Adelaide Metro trains, trams and buses, as well as at stations. It's the latest expansion of police powers under declared public precincts, allowing officers to check anyone they believe might be carrying offensive weapons.
