The Tripsichord Music Box — Tripsichord 1971 (USA,acid psych folk blues rock)

The only album by an American band that had more names than records released. Formed in 1965, they were then called "The Ban." Later, after moving to Los Angeles, they were renamed "Now." After moving to San Francisco, they adopted the name "Tripsichord Music Box," and recorded their only LP under that name. However, it was recorded back in 1969 and released only in 1971, by which time the band's name had been shortened to just "Tripsichord." Overall, their legacy wasn't particularly extensive, though interesting. Suffice it to say, the band worked with such a powerhouse as Matthew Katz, who also produced "Jefferson Airplane," "Moby Grape," and "It's A Beautiful Day." So the quality of the music of this band, which played psychedelia, was undeniable and the prospects seemed serious. However, throughout their existence, they only managed to release one vinyl and a couple of singles...
