Lebanese President Joseph Aoun visited Bulgaria on Monday, November 10, for an official state visit and to mark preparations for the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During the visit in Sofia, President Aoun was welcomed with military honors, inspected the guard of honor, and participated in the playing of national anthems. He also paid tribute at Bulgaria’s Monument of the Unknown Soldier by laying a wreath.

Following bilateral discussions with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, the leaders agreed on measures to introduce a regular flight connection between Beirut and Sofia, strengthening diplomatic and economic ties.
