Israel and Hamas agreed on Wednesday (Oct 8) to the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s Gaza ceasefire plan.

Both sides accepted an initial ceasefire and hostage deal, a move that could pave the way toward ending the bloody two-year war that has devastated Gaza and shaken the region.
