ANR, a name synonymous with acting on Telugu soil, transitioned from stage to screen and became the epitome of romantic and versatile acting in Indian cinema. With iconic films like Devadasu, Dr. Chakravarthy, Premabhishekam, and Prem Nagar, he etched a permanent place in the hearts of Telugu audiences.

But ANR wasn’t just an actor — he played a pivotal role in shifting the Telugu film industry from Madras to Hyderabad, establishing Annapurna Studios and nurturing the next generation of filmmakers.

🕯️ ANR passed away on January 22, 2014, due to cancer, but his legacy continues through his son Nagarjuna and grandsons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni.
