But a new Stanford study reveals that this biannual time change isn’t just an inconvenience; it causes serious health problems nationwide, like strokes and obesity. The study found that the current system is the worst for health. Permanent standard time could prevent 300,000 stroke cases and 2.6 million obesity diagnoses yearly.
