Little Free Rock - Little Free Rock 1969 (UK, Heavy Psychedelic Rock)
The only album of heavy trio from Preston (county Lancashire). The Group was founded in 1968 under the name "Purple Haze". The name " name Little Free Rock" trio took to avoid confusion with the single Jimi Hendrix. Peter Illingworth (ex-"David John And The Mood"), Paul Varley (ex-"The Arrows") and Frank Newbold started with a performance of covers "The Who", "The Creation" ("Making Time" is on their album ) , "Tomorrow", but soon began writing her own songs . The band often played in various clubs in England as well as in Belgium, Germany, including a performance at the Hamburg "Star-Club", took part in the "Jazz And Blues Festival" in Essen , at festivals in Frankfurt, Saint- Tropez and Santa Margarita de La Costa in Italy. Some time member of the group was Peter Green, guitarist of the future "Fleetwood Mac". The only album "Little Free Rock" was recorded in 1969 in the spirit of the psychedelic hard rock, quite typical of the late 60's .
