The government is studying the possibility of enhancing localisation requirements for foreign investors to ensure local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) benefit from domestic and foreign direct investments, says Liew Chin Tong.

The Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister said this was part of efforts to create a resilient ecosystem that allows Malaysian companies to reap spillover benefits and develop into technology-based multinational corporations (MNCs).
