हिमाचल प्रदेश में बेलगाम विकास से पर्यावरण को हो रहे नुकसान पर सुप्रीम
कोर्ट ने गहरी चिंता जताई है. कोर्ट ने चेतावनी देते हुए कहा है कि अगर ऐसा
ही चलता रहा तो हिमाचल एक दिन नक्शे से गायब हो जाएगा. कोर्ट ने मामले पर
स्वतः संज्ञान लेते हुए राज्य सरकार से 4 सप्ताह में रिपोर्ट मांगी है.
राज्य सरकार को बताना होगा कि उसने पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए क्या कदम उठाए
हैं और भविष्य को लेकर क्या योजना है. मामले की अगली सुनवाई 25 अगस्त को होगी.

((The Supreme Court has expressed deep concern over the damage being
caused to the environment due to unbridled development in Himachal
Pradesh. The court has warned that if this continues, Himachal will one
day disappear from the map. The court has taken suo motu cognizance of
the matter and has sought a report from the state government in 4 weeks.
The state government will have to tell what steps it has taken for
environmental protection and what are its plans for the future. The next
hearing of the case will be on August 25.))
