Trump touts trade deal with the PH, lashes out at Obama
During a White House meeting with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, US President Donald Trump says the two countries are "very close to finishing a big trade deal" and praises military cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. Asked about the Justice Department’s efforts to interview Ghislaine Maxwell, the imprisoned accomplice of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Trump deflects by accusing former President Barack Obama of criminal wrongdoing. Trump also announces a $50 billion investment by AstraZeneca in the US, and confirms a future visit to China at the invitation of President Xi.
