Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his appreciation to cartoonist Zunar, for his unwavering efforts to revitalise the local art industry through politically themed works, despite the many challenges he has faced.

The Prime Minister said that Zunar's works, though often harsh and laced with sharp criticism, carry profound meaning on current issues, which society must collectively understand, and can have significant political implications on the subjects addressed.
