Asean has become a trusted and influential platform on the global stage, with many countries eager to forge formal partnerships, said Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

Speaking after the Asean Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) on Friday (July 11), Mohamad said an increasing number of nations are seeking to accede to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC)—so much so that the government has had to impose a moratorium to manage the influx of requests.
