As the fighting between Israel and Iran entered its fifth day on June 17, sources say Iran has sent messages through Gulf States to urge the US administration to pressure Israel to a ceasefire.

The two Middle Eastern rivals have exchanged blows, with Iranian officials reporting over 220 deaths, mostly civilians, while Israel said 24 civilians were killed.
