A deadly explosion has struck Iran’s Bushehr province, killing at least three and injuring ten. The blast occurred when a methanol reservoir caught fire at the Bandar Dayyer port, owned by Kaveh Petrochemicals. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but officials fear the death toll may rise. This is Iran’s second major industrial explosion in recent months, following the April blast in Bandar Abbas that killed 57. The string of incidents is raising serious concerns over Iran’s chemical storage safety and its critical trade infrastructure near the Strait of Hormuz.
