Senator Chris Van Hollen has met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran man wrongfully deported under the Trump administration, now held in detention in El Salvador.

Garcia told the senator he “missed” his wife and family back in the U.S. He was previously imprisoned in CECOT, El Salvador’s controversial Terrorism Confinement Center, before being transferred to another facility in Santa Ana.
