Opposition not fully opposed to Parliamentary Services Bill, wants fine-tuning, says lawmaker

The Parliamentary Services Bill 2025 should be postponed and deliberated further first to ensure it will be fair to all the staff serving in Parliament as well as MPs, said Parit Buntar MP Mohd Misbahul Munir Masduki on Wednesday (March 5).

On Tuesday, 57 opposition MPs abstained from voting to pass the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2025 which will pave the way for the revival of the Parliamentary Services Act. The bill was passed with 148 votes in favour and 17 absent.
