From Chinese New Year's Eve (Jan. 28) to the Lantern Festival (Feb. 12), the Eastern Theater Command of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) carried out combat readiness patrols and military drills.

During the operations, PLA servicemen completed their missions and even sent festive greetings to personnel aboard a Taiwan military vessel.
