Donald Trump issued over 1,500 pardons and commuted 14 sentences related to the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. The pardons include members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers convicted of seditious conspiracy. Representative Nancy Pelosi called the pardons an “outrageous insult” to law enforcement. The FBI’s largest-ever investigation into Jan. 6 yielded more than 1,100 convictions, many for violent crimes. Trump avoided mentioning January 6th during his inauguration but later addressed supporters, repeating his unfounded claim that the 2020 election was rigged.
