With only one album and one 45 rpm, both released by Car Juke Box and very rare, this group has been surrounded by mystery for many years, also due to the total lack of information on the cover; only thanks to the testimony of some former musicians has it been possible to reconstruct their history.

The group Duu Duu was formed in 1969 in Milan and played in the Milan area and in Valtellina. In 1971, singer Maurizio Calò proposed that the five musicians play with him, initially under the name Maurizio Jr. ei Duu Duu, then as Maurizio Jr. e l'Azienda Autonoma di Soggiorno; finally, after he had adopted the stage name Richard Coley, the band began performing as Richard Last Group.
Calò wanted to release the album as a solo artist, but the record company decided to release it under the name Richard Last Group, taking advantage of the popularity of progressive groups in Italy.
The album Get ready , containing 12 songs sung in English, included mainly remakes of foreign songs (by artists such as Jethro Tull and Donovan) together with three originals, showing good technical skills but little creativity. Towards the end of the recordings there was a change in the lineup, with Dal Toso leaving for military service and the entry of second guitarist Mario Volanti and later bassist Fulvio Massi. This seven-man lineup is the one depicted in the cover photos of the LP and the 45 rpm.
Volanti played only on the three original songs on the LP ( Confusion , He has gone away and Naple in rock ) together with another bassist from the group La Luce.

The band broke up in September 1972, but Calò/Coley continued with other musicians and created a new group with Rosario Brunetti (guitar), Enzo Menunni (bass) and Massimo Dinoia (drums), which performed for a few years under the name Richard Coley and the Last Group Show. In 1977 Coley released a remake of Get ready
under his own name , entitled Dedicated... containing the same 12 songs as the previous one and released on his Alexandra label. After another lineup change Calò began using his real name and with Dinoia and guitarist/bassist Flavio Scansani recorded some songs with jazz and funky influences for a new album that was never released, only two of which were released on the 45 rpm Folle evasione in 1979.

Coley/Calò worked a lot during his career in France and after this parenthesis dedicated to rock he made several commercial productions.
