Tesla has started offering discounts on new Cybertruck inventory, according to its website, as production has slowed at Tesla's Austin factory. Price reductions reach up to $1,600 for new configurations and $2,600 for demo units. In 2024, Tesla's overall sales declined by about 37,000 vehicles despite U.S. EV sales rising. The Cybertruck sold just under 40,000 units last year, outperforming the Ford Lightning F-150 and becoming the fifth best-selling EV in the U.S. It faced challenges including high prices, recalls, and production issues.
