In a dramatic escalation, US and UK warplanes launched 11 airstrikes on Yemen, targeting strategic locations in the capital Sana’a, including the September 21st Park, al-Ardi Complex, and the May 22nd Military Industrial Complex. The airstrikes, confirmed by US Central Command (CENTCOM) as “precision strikes,” were carried out in response to Yemen’s recent military operations.Mohammed Abdul-Salam, spokesperson for Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, condemned the strikes as a blatant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty, vowing continued resistance and support for Palestine. In retaliation, Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) downed an American MQ-9 drone over Marib using a locally developed surface-to-air missile. This marks the 14th drone taken down since Yemen launched its support front for Gaza.
