What is Gajar Ka Halwa?
Gajar ka halwa, also known as Gajorer Halwa, Gajarno halwo, Gajrela, Gajar pak, and carrot pudding, is a sweet Indian / Pakistani dessert made by placing grated carrots in a pot containing a specific amount of desi ghee, milk, sugar, and cardamom and then cooking while stirring regularly. It is often served with a garnish of almonds, Cashews and pistachios.
Gajar Ka Halwa Recipe:
Carrot / Gajar Peel Off & Wash
Carrot / Gajar 5 kg ( After Peel Off & Wash )
Grate Carrot / Gajar
Add Grated Carrot / Gajar
Cook For 4 to 5 Minutes
Milk / Doodh 250 ml or 1 Cup
Cook For 2 to 3 Minutes
Cover The Lid Cook On Low Medium Flame Until Carrot Release Its Water
Sugar / Cheeni 1 kg
Mix Well
Cover The Lid Cook On Low Flame For 30 Minutes
Cook On High Flame To Evaporate Excess Water
Desi Ghee 500 gm
Saute For 15 to 20 Minutes
Green Cardamom / Choti Elaichi Powder 1 tsp
Almond / Badam 100 gm
Pistachio / Pista 100 gm
Cashew / Kaju 100 gm
Mix Well Saute For 2 to 3 Minutes
Close The Flame & Add Khoya 2 kg
Cover Khoya With Hot Gajar Halwa
Close The Lid For 5 Minutes
Mix Khoya Well
