TikTok asked the Supreme Court on Monday to block a law that could ban the app in the U.S. by Jan. 19, requiring ByteDance to sell it or face removal from app stores.  On the same day, TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew met with President-elect Donald Trump, who said he would “take a look at TikTok." The request followed a D.C. appeals court ruling upholding the law, citing national security concerns. TikTok argues the law violates free speech and could cause significant losses for small businesses and creators.
