IANS Exclusive: Ahead of the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) election, incumbent president Rohan Jaitley has dismissed the serious allegations made by his opponent, Kirti Azad, as "baseless" and lacking substantial evidence. Azad accused Jaitley of mismanaging funds from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Jaitley expressed surprise at the timing of the allegations, stating that they had not been raised in the past three years. He likened the claims to those made against his father, Arun Jaitley, in the past, which were ultimately dismissed. On Azad's debate challenge, Jaitley called it a "gimmick" and criticized Azad for not personally reaching out. He stressed the importance of healthy political dialogue, stating he was open to meaningful discussions. Jaitley, confident in his re-election campaign, outlined plans for a new international stadium, high-performance centers for grassroots development, and expanded facilities for DDCA members and non-members. The DDCA election will take place from December 13 to 15, with results announced on December 16.
