Famed Taiwanese romance novelist Chiung Yao has died in an apparent suicide at the age of 86, after posting a farewell video to social media. Born in China, Chiung fled with her family to Taiwan after the Communist Revolution. She later became one of the top-selling authors in the Chinese-language world.
