Bolivian parliament descended into chaos after lawmakers from the country’s ruling party, MAS, began scuffling between themselves.
A group of pro-Evo Morales lawmakers, known as “Evistas,” approached the Congress podium to prevent the new president, Omar Yujra, from beginning his duties.

Tensions escalated when lawmakers climbed onto the podium to express their disagreement with the chair elected on November 5.
