Mayor Zamora denies allegations of flying voters in San Juan
San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora challenges Sen. Jinggoy Estrada to file an exclusion over his allegations that 32 percent are flying voters in the city. In a press conference at his office on Nov. 21, 2024, Zamora denied Estrada's allegations. Estrada was San Juan mayor from 1992 to 2001 before running for senator. It was Zamora who ended the 50-year rule of the Estradas in the city when he defeated Janella Estrada, the granddaughter of former president Joseph Estrada in 2019. Zamora is seeking a third term.
