A double murder probe has been launched after two people were found dead on a street in Manchester.

Officers were called to Great Southern Street in Moss Side at around 4am this morning (17/11), according to a local resident.

Police say despite the best efforts of the emergency services, two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

One of the street’s residents claims he’s not been allowed to leave his house this morning, due to the large police presence outside.
