'Pepito' makes landfall along the eastern coast of Catanduanes

Super Typhoon Pepito, known internationally as Man-yi, made landfall in Panganiban, Catanduanes, on Saturday night, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its weather advisory issued at 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, PAGASA has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 5 over Catanduanes and the northeastern part of Camarines Sur. This warning indicates the potential for catastrophic winds and heavy rainfall, prompting local authorities to prepare for significant impacts.
