The Taiwan High Court has sentenced prominent author and media personality Lucifer Chu to 11 months in prison for indecent assault. The ruling came after Chu failed to reach a settlement with Chung Pei-chun, a Taipei City councilor who accused Chu of forcibly kissing her at a Taipei restaurant two years ago.
