A Spirit Airlines plane from Fort Lauderdale was hit by gunfire, leaving bullet holes in the cabin as it attempted to land in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

The flight was safely diverted to the Dominican Republic, with only minor injuries reported among the crew.
