A total of 146 investigation papers have been opened against private higher education institutions for various offences.
Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Mustapha Sakmud informed the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Nov 11) that the ministry audited 355 institutions between 2019 and 2024 to assess compliance with the Private Higher Educational Institutions Act (Act 555).
