Venezuela's parliament appointed new representatives of the citizens' power for the next seven years. After reviewing more than 40 eligible profiles, the national assembly appoints Gustavo Vizcaíno as the new comptroller general of the republic. At the same time, the national assembly ratified the current attorney general, Tarek William Saab, as the head of the public ministry, and Alfredo Ruiz in the ombudsman's office.
