Guwahati, October 26: Hundreds of the Aam Aadmi Party's Assam members staged a demonstration protest hold in Guwahati's Ganeshguri on Saturday demanding the withdrawal of smart meters and against the price hike of essential commodities.
The protest was organized to express their dissatisfaction over the skyrocketing rise in electricity prices and demanding the withdrawal of smart meters. AAP members gathered near the AAP office under the Ganeshguri flyover bridge in Guwahati, waving posters, banners and raising slogans against the BJP government of Assam and the electricity department.
Many senior, junior leaders and party workers, including AAP Assam Pradesh President Manoj Dhanuar, joined the protest.
