An uncredited actor who appears In 1967 western Gunfight in Abilene may resemble Robert Duvall. Wearing a black hat and grey vest, this character appears to be involved with the gang that causes trouble in the town with Michael Sarrazin's character around 9 minutes into the film. Officially, Duvall is not credited as appearing in this but there are some links between other cast of this film and the True Grit (1969) actor. Leslie Nielsen, who appears in "Abilene" was in an episode of Bob Hope Presents The Chrysler Theatre (S3.E15 "Guilty or Not Guilty" in 1966). George Lucas, Director of Star Wars (1977) may be another example: Duvall was in his directorial debut film, the dystopian THX 1138 in 1971. Mel Brooks, known for his comedies, later spoofed Star Wars in Spaceballs in 1987. Nielsen was in his comedy Horror Dracula: Dead And Loving It in 1995.
