The Junction Retail and Leisure Park in Antrim is set to welcome a fresh dining experience with the opening of the Stone Hound Public House & Kitchen, formerly Jakes Cocktail Bar and Grill.
With an investment of £150,000, the new eatery aims to create over 45 jobs, providing a boost to the local economy.
Scheduled to open its doors in mid-November 2024, the Stone Hound will bring renewed energy to the beloved restaurant space in the heart of Antrim. Many of the new positions will be filled by former Jakes employees, who faced uncertainty after the establishment’s sudden closure in summer 2024.
Owned by Sean and Geraldine McLaughlin, the Stone Hound will add to their successful portfolio, which includes The Boat House in Antrim, celebrating its first anniversary this month, as well as Kraken Fish and Chips in Portrush and the Fullerton Arms in Ballintoy.
