North Korea has reportedly sent 1,500 special forces troops to Russia’s Far East for training and acclimation, with plans to deploy them in the war in Ukraine. South Korea's National Intelligence Service used facial recognition AI to identify North Korean officers in eastern Ukraine aiding Russian missile launches. The agency also revealed that North Korea shipped more than 8 million artillery and rocket rounds to Russia since August 2023. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol called an urgent security meeting, describing the situation as a grave security threat. Both Russia and North Korea deny allegations of military cooperation.
