This is the shocking moment a dad’s new Ford Ranger pick-up truck exploded into a huge fireball on a busy motorway.
Daniel Adkins, 40, was driving his step-dad and younger brother, to work in the £29,000 motor when it suddenly spluttered into ‘limp home mode’.
He managed to manoeuvre onto the hard shoulder before all three men leapt out the truck seconds before it was engulfed in flames.
Dramatic photos and footage shows the vehicle fully ablaze with fire and smoke billowing across three-lanes of the packed motorway.
Dad-of-one Daniel, from Bromsgrove, Worcs., said: “It was a 50mph limit and the motorway was busy when it suddenly felt like I had mechanical failure.
