If LA makes it to the World Series, they hope that injured players Rojas and Vesia will be able to play again.
Given his unlikely ability to pitch against the Mets, Alex Vesia's exclusion from the Dodgers roster for the National League Championship Series was anticipated. A more difficult choice was to leave Miguel Rojas off the NLCS roster.
If the Dodgers advance in the World Series, the team hopes that Vesia's intercostal injury and Rojas' torn adductor will heal enough to allow them to be on the roster.
Rojas wanted to play and took part in drills during Saturday's workout at Dodger Stadium, but the fact that he left Game 3 against the Padres due to more adductor discomfort and missed the next two NLDS games leaned the odds more in favor of caution for the series.
