David (Tequan Richmond) is fleeing from his past — he has just committed a murder and ended up in possession of a bag full of crystal meth and cash that doesn't belong to him. Running from a pair of dangerous con-men, he's forced to go into hiding, and his path leads him to a remote, frozen town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This place seems perfect for temporarily disappearing from his pursuers' radar.

In the small town, David tries not to attract too much attention, but his arrival in the closed and sparsely populated community does not go unnoticed. The locals are suspicious of the stranger, but some of them are more welcoming than David expected. He has to navigate new relationships while keeping his true past a secret, all the while trying to figure out how to get out of this situation alive.

Things become even more dangerous when the con-men searching for their meth and cash track him down. Now David has to balance staying out of the criminals' grasp and finding a way to escape this "nowhere." His survival depends on whether he can find unexpected allies among the residents of this cold and secluded town and whether he is clever enough to stay one step ahead of those hunting him.
