the rolling stones - not fade away (take 1) - colorized - wide mono
Edit for headphones, June 2013/September 2024. This is the first recording of "Not Fade Away", recorded in London, Regent Sound Studios, January 10, 1964. Source of the edit: cd 1 of the 1994 bootleg album "Black Box" by "Yellow Dog Records" (YD 046).
The official release was recorded 25 days later, on February 4, but this first one is a nice one too.
It has different lyrics.
Harmonica: the one and only "no Jones, no Stones" Brian Jones. Guitars: Brian Jones & Keith Richards. Percussion: Brian Jones & Mick Jagger. Lead vocals: Mick Jagger. Bass: Bill Wyman. Drums: Charlie Watts.
This version has a slight faster rhythm, the lenght however is almost the same, that's because the fade out is longer.
NOT FADE AWAY
(Norman Petty & Buddy Holly)(original performer: Buddy Holly in 1957)
I'm gonna tell you how it's gonna be
you're gonna give your love to me
a'love will last more than one day
a love is love and not fade away
well love is love and not fade away
my love's bigger than a Cadillac
I try to show you to drive me mad
your love for me has got to be real
for you to know just how I feel
well love is love and not fade away
love is real not fade away
I'm gonna tell you how it's gonna be
you're gonna give your love to me
a love to last more than one day
a love is love and not fade away
well love is love and not fade away
well love is love and not fade away
love love is not not fade away
not fade away
not fade away
