Supermarket 'shrinkflation' to be targeted through fairer, more comparable pricing rules

The federal government has vowed to fight shrinkflation in the supermarket and retail industry by strengthening the unit pricing code so customers can make better comparisons. Shrinkflation is where the size of products is being reduced, while prices are staying the same. Andrew Kelly from choice says it would incentivise supermarkets to do the right thing.
