Brightwell’s Yard finally has a new addition as Reel Cinema no longer stands alone in the new development.
The award-winning Pilates Movement Studio opened in the development at Unit 7, 18 Old Market Place early at 9AM on Saturday, September 28.
Despite the early start, it was a packed studio as new guests turned up for the hour-long session. There were also familiar faces as people who had been to the studios in Guildford and Godalming were now glad to see their journey shorten with the new development.
The studio is open to all and specialises in dynamic reformer pilates placing emphasis on flowing through a range of exercises the machine (reformer) used can be set up to help beginners ease into something new or make it harder for those with more experience.
The Reformer consists of a sliding carriage, equipped with adjustable springs, pulleys, straps, and a footbar.
Owners Jeff and Jane Waters were greeting customers and hosting classes throughout the day and were very excited to finally be opening the site after a long wait.
More good news was announced on the weekend as Crest Nicolson handed over the retail properties on the site and AS retail announced the site had reached practical completion.
Late October and early November have been the time frames businesses such as Pirates Landing, Jetts Gym and Monte Fiorte Pizza are intending to open.
Cinema-goers will have to choose between pizza and piri piri as the two restaurants will take residency next to Reels.
