Mira Murati, OpenAI’s chief technology officer, resigned on Wednesday, announcing she wants “the time and space to do my own exploration.” Altman praised Murati, highlighting her significant role in OpenAI's progress over the years. Murati previously worked at Tesla and Leap Motion and joined OpenAI in 2018. Altman also revealed the departures of Chief Research Officer Bob McGrew and VP of Research Barret Zoph but did not announce successors.  Her exit follows other key leadership changes this year.
