Spider Verse 3: Sony changes Everything and the Film will be Delayed for Another 2 Years
Spider-Verse 3 (or Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse) is one of the most anticipated films by Marvel fans. However, since its indefinite postponement last year, we have no idea when it might hit theaters.
And now, the trusty Jeff Sneider has BAD NEWS! According to him, Sony decided to DISCARD much of what was already produced for the film. Yes, they will reformulate a large part of the story!
Check it out:
“So not only is 2027 more likely for that reason (Spider-Man 4 opening in 2026), but also a holiday date, I heard Sony scrapped most of Into the Spider-Verse for creative reasons.
And, because of this decision, the film would be unlikely to premiere before 2027 given the detailed animation it requires.
Although the Into the Spider-Verse team was surprised by the change in direction, I hear they are relieved to have more work to do on the sequel.”
Will we have any important DISMISSAL? It is worth remembering that news broke that Chris Miller and Phil Lord's contracts with Sony would not be renewed.
So, is this directly linked to this reformulation? Let's wait!
