Karn goes to the Himalayas in search of attaining knowledge so that he could get his mother's love. Karn's mother believes that, if she loves her child then it could pose a threat on her life. Karn thinks of his uncle, who once had said that he has done 12 years of Tapasya to gain knowledge by eating leaves. Karn tried doing the same but immediately dropped that idea. Meanwhile, a saint got disturbed by the noise created by Karn. Karn fearlessly went on to ask the saint about gaining knowledge
